New Tour Schedule Starts
We have already reopened the Temple of Baal and Orient caves. On 30 November, we will also open the Chifley, Imperial and Lucas caves. It is so exciting to welcome visitors to some of our amazing caves again!
Weekends – Tours Available with Dining or Accommodation Only
Due to the very limited numbers that we can guide through the caves at one time, our cave experiences have become very exclusive! Weekend tours can only be purchased as a package, with accommodation or Chisolm’s dining. For accommodation, you can choose either the Mountain Lodge or Caves House. And, at Chisolm’s Restaurant, we offer either High Tea, lunch or dinner.
Monday to Friday – Packages and Limited Cave-only Tours
Purchase one of our cave/accommodation or cave/dining packages or on weekdays, we also offer a very limited number of cave-only tickets.
It’s still free to stroll along our Carlotta Arch Walk, the McKeown’s Valley Track, the Devil’s Coach House Lookdown and the Six Foot Track. Spot wildlife, such as wallabies and lyrebirds. Cool down afterwards in the Caves Cafe – no booking necessary. Make Caves House your base to explore Oberon, Lithgow and Bathurst, and other attractions such as Mayfield Gardens.
Very limited tour group sizes means that everyone needs to pre-book for tours, accommodation, Chisolm’s lunch, dinner and High Tea.
More Options On the Way
We hope to add more tours, more capacity and more cave-only tickets to our schedule soon. Please check our website and follow us on Facebook.
To keep our business flexible and avoid disappointment for guests, we are releasing tour dates only 2 weeks in advance, for a 2-week period.
If tours are not yet released for your arrival date, phone 1300 76 33 11 and book your accommodation or dining now, and then contact us again two weeks out for your cave tour booking.
We pride ourselves on the safety, comfort and enjoyment of our guests, and have implemented COVID-19 safe practices for our cave tours.
